Every year, budding young Kiwi entrepreneurs are given the opportunity to experience the real business world first-hand by competing in the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme.
This year, we’re proud to say that POLi has joined in the journey, supporting the Young Enterprise Trust by offering a special deal for its students.
What is the Young Enterprise Scheme?
The Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (or ‘YES’, as it’s commonly known) is a part competition, part educational opportunity.
This is a scheme for secondary school students to set up and run a real start-up business. Throughout the school year teams must develop products or services, innovate, learn how to found a successful business, and ultimately go to market to sell their dream for real.
The competition itself is broken up into five stages, designed to give student teams a complete start-up experience. They will compete to validate, promote, pitch, sell and review their business, vying for the title of YES Company of the Year.
POLi joins the YES experience
Here at POLi, we’re all about making it easier and faster for businesses to get paid – and we felt even more strongly about this for student businesses.
So, we officially teamed up with YES to offer a special deal to student teams. We’re giving young Kiwis access to the POLi online payments platform at a heavy discount – this way whether they’re selling via eCommerce, social media, or sending invoices, they can get paid directly and without hassle.
